Who We Are
Moose Mountain Reformed Baptist Church is a Bible-believing, confessional, Christ-centered, Gospel-focused church that is committed to the redemptive historical teaching and proclamation of God’s word to our community and beyond.
|
We seek to be a community of people who covenant and worship together on the Lord’s Day for one purpose: to see God glorified through the church’s ordinances and by proclaiming and living out His Word.
|
It is our desire to see all who join us cling to the Gospel of Jesus Christ and press on towards holiness with us.
|
Our Mission To Spread The Word
King Jesus is sovereign over all the spheres in this world: the church, the government, and the home.
|
“And Jesus came and said to them, ‘All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” |
Therefore, our joy is to replicate Jesus’ mandate to disciple the nations by the ordinary means of His church gathering together and by taking the Gospel to the lost.

The Way Things Are
“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness.” |
“Knowing this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture comes from someone's own interpretation. For no prophecy was ever produced by the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.” |
Therefore we can be sure the Bible is without error, is incapable of error, and is our ultimate authority.
But since men are born in sin, they will not accept this reality, but instead rebel against the truth that can be known about God in His Word. |
“None is righteous, no, not one; no one understands; no one seeks for God. All have turned aside; together they have become worthless; no one does good, not even one.” |
The Work Jesus Christ Did
At the exact time in history appointed by the Father, God the Son came and took on flesh to accomplish the Father’s will. God’s rebellious creation, hopeless in their sin, was at the mercy of an act of God to redeem them from His curse. This mercy would take place in the person of Jesus Christ, as He lived, died, was buried, rose from the dead, and ascended back into Glory with the Father.
No human has ever lived a perfectly sinless life before God; as only God is perfect, it took the God-man Jesus Christ to live sinlessly in this world on our behalf. |
God also required a perfect and blameless sacrifice for sins, someone who could indeed bear the eternal wrath of God that rebels had stored up. Jesus was that Chosen One, and as He gave Himself up on the cross to die, He fulfilled God’s requirement of justice. He died under the wrath of God and was buried with the sins of God’s elect, putting those sins to death.
Death could not hold the Son however, for on the third day He rose again to life, proving that the sacrifice was complete and accepted by the Father, and that for everyone who believes, a pardon will be given because of the work that Jesus Christ did. |
“For our sake He made Him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” |
